For Artsthreads “The Pentland Churchill Champagne Pol Roger Conscious Case CompetitionIn response to the commemorative celebration marking 150 years since Churchill’s birth and 175 years of Champagne Pol Roger, my submission offers a sustainable solution for the Pol Roger Brut Vintage gift packaging. It aims to encapsulate the remarkable friendship between Churchill and Pol Roger, presenting a thoughtful embodiment of their historic bond. This entry was presented to Pol Roger and a panel of designated patrons and members of Pentland and the International Churchill Society, coming 2nd place.
My Design proposal for the Pol Roger Brut Vintage gift packaging is a confluence of historical homage, artistic expression, and environmental responsibility.
Featuring nuanced illustrations that honour Churchill's inspirational character and legacy on the outer packaging, and a unique cut-out that offers a glimpse into the world of Pol Roger, this design elegantly intertwines and celebrates their storied friendship.
With a strong emphasis on sustainability, this design utilises premium recycled materials, transforming the packaging into a versatile, reusable bag perfect for carrying beverages, thereby greatly diminishing its ecological impact. This approach not only honours the past but also addresses the present need for eco-friendly practices.
By leveraging Pol Roger's esteemed reputation, the design appeals to existing and new customers alike, seamlessly bridging past and present with a strong focus on environmental responsibility.I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where I work & live, the Wurundjeri people and pay my respects to Elders past & present.
